WOBURN, MA - Candidate for State Senate Sean Garballey received the endorsement of the Woburn Firefighters Union late last week. A spokesman for the Union (Local 971) announced, “We unanimously endorsed Sean because we know that he’ll be ready to tackle the issues that matter to us on the first day that he enters the Senate. He’s been doing great over in Arlington and Medford for so long – we’ll be proud to have him represent us when he wins this election.”   Their endorsement joins those of the Arlington Firefighters Local 1297 and the Massachusetts Nurses Association.

Garballey, who has been serving as State Representative for 23rd Middlesex District for the last nine years, formally began his campaign with a kickoff party on Friday (see associated release). “I am honored to receive this endorsement from Woburn Local 971” said Garballey, “They graciously invited me to make the case for my candidacy last week, and I am grateful they agreed that I am the best candidate to represent the people of the 4th Middlesex District.”

The special election to fill Donnelly’s Senate seat will be on July 25, 2017. Party primary elections will be held on June 27.
